Art Candy - JMW Turner

JMW Turner (1775 - 1851) was an English painter and watercolourist whose influence was definitely felt far and wide. So much so, that a Japanese company has named a line of watercolours after him.

Turner had a distinct appreciation for the more raw elements around him. His works focused on the sea (and ships), fire, and other strong elements of nature. Admired early in his career, he wasn't necessarily universally loved, but his talent has clearly carried him through to the modern era.
