This week I'm going to venture away from the usual tutorial style video and give you an opportunity to watch a watercolour timelapse painting by one of my favourites: Mary Doodles.
I really like watching her process and, despite this not being a tutorial, you can pick up a lot from it. For example, in this video, you can see the progression of clarity in the image as she builds up layer after layer, especially in the witch and her two cats. A lot of people approach watercolour with single layer thinking in mind and so look to get that layer perfect in colour and tone, but that's not usually a very effective approach.
Anyways, if nothing else, maybe you'll also find her recording style hypnotic. I usually do!
